ClearOne Fights Trade Secrets Award Reduction

Law360, New York (July 2, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- ClearOne Communications Inc. is planning to appeal a federal court’s ruling trimming roughly $800,000 from a $10.5 million damages award that a jury handed the audio and video company in a case alleging former ClearOne employees stole trade secrets related to audio-conferencing technology.

ClearOne filed a notice of appeal on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah seeking to challenge a final judgment issued in April.
