DOJ Taps El Al Airlines For Data In Air Cargo Probe

Law360 (September 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- El Al Israel Airlines revealed Friday that the U.S. Department of Justice has requested information related to its investigation into possible price-fixing in the air-cargo industry.

El Al notified the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that the company must testify before a grand jury on Nov. 1 by order of the U.S. District Court in Washington.

Details were scarce but the Israeli carrier did promise in its statement to the SEC that it would “look into and attend to” the matter, according to Dow Jones.
