Chicago FD Collective FLSA Action Tossed Again

Law360, New York (July 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Attorneys representing paramedics with the City of Chicago Fire Department have seen their third Fair Labor Standard Acts Case against the city thrown out, once again because the workers' claims were found too diverse to merit a collective action.

Judge John W. Darrah of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois entered a judgment against the paramedics Monday, granting the city's request to toss the action.
