Gucci, Guess Trademark Dispute Set For Settlement

Law360, New York (July 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The bitter trademark feud between Gucci America Inc. and Guess Inc. is cooling down as the fashion rivals prepare to meet with a magistrate judge for settlement talks.

Judge Shira A. Scheindlin entered an order Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York referring the case to a magistrate judge for settlement efforts.

Neither Gucci nor Guess could be reached to comment on whether a settlement had already been reached or if the meeting will be the first of the settlement...
