Everest Let Off Hook For Emergency Co. Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has ruled that Everest Indemnity Insurance Co. is not required to defend or indemnify an emergency response and remediation services company facing patent infringement litigation over firefighting equipment.

Judge Terry R. Means of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Tuesday found that the allegations in the underlying infringement suit are not covered under a policy issued by Everest to Texas-based Allied International Emergency LLC
