Chopper Pilot's Class Cert. Bid Doesn't Fly: Judge

Law360, New York (July 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A California aviator hired by General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. to train Pakistani helicopter pilots has lost his bid for class certification and has seen certain claims stripped from his suit accusing the defense contractor of failing to pay overtime and reimburse expenses.

Plaintiff John D. Sarviss' lawsuit, filed in January 2008 in a California court, claims the defendant violated federal and state labor laws. General Dynamics removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in March 2008.
