Kodak Settles Race Bias Class Action For $21.4M

Law360, New York (July 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Eastman Kodak Co. has agreed to pay $21.4 million to settle a consolidated class action brought by a group of current and former black employees that accused the company of a pattern of race discrimination.

The Rochester, N.Y.-based company said in a joint statement Wednesday that it had reached an agreement with the group, Employees Committed for Justice, resolving two related lawsuits filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
