Fugitive Ex-Credit Suisse Broker Arrested

Law360, New York (July 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A fugitive Credit Suisse Group broker facing trial over an alleged $1 billion fraud has been nabbed by authorities, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Julian Tzolov, a Bulgaria native who has been on the lam since May 9, also faces new charges of fraud, according to two indictments unsealed on Wednesday.

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Benton Campbell, notified Brooklyn district judge Jack Weinstein on Wednesday afternoon that Tzolov had been apprehended. The letter did not provide any details on the former broker's...
