Google Sued Over Personalized Web Portal Patents

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009, 2:49 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. has been named in a new lawsuit filed by a technology company that claims the technology giant's personalized search and targeted advertising technology willfully infringes two patents.

The suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware by Personalized User Model LLP, alleges that the iGoogle personal Web portal infringes two of PUM's patents, both titled “Automatic, personalized online information and product services,” issued in 2005 and 2008.
