House Committee To Consider Say-On-Pay Legislation

Barney Frank, D-Mass., has vowed to take on executive compensation, warning that his financial services committee would mark up a bill next week that would give shareholders an advisory vote on pay and provide federal regulators with more power to monitor risky compensation practices at all financial institutions.

Frank released a discussion draft of the legislation, called "Corporate and Financial Institution Compensation Fairness Act of 2009," on Friday, a day after the U.S. Department of Treasury sent its own draft say-on-pay bill to Congress....
