Class Cert. Sought In AIG Auto Injury Claims Suit

Law360, New York (July 21, 2009, 12:05 PM EDT) -- An Ohio man has asked a federal judge for class certification in a lawsuit accusing AIG National Insurance Co. Inc. and a clutch of other carriers of illegally reducing medical payments to policyholders injured in car crashes.

On Monday, plaintiff Eskin Kuhn asked Judge Sara Lioi of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to certify three classes of individuals harmed by AIG’s alleged practice of denying policyholders the full cost of medical treatment ostensibly covered by their auto insurance policies.
