UnitedHealth Wants Full 8th Circ.'s Input On Offsetting Method
Law360 (February 6, 2019, 10:25 PM EST) -- UnitedHealth Group Inc. has urged the full Eighth Circuit to reconsider a panel’s finding that plan documents don't allow the insurer to offset overpayments to providers across health plans, saying the appeal court's decision would force it to stop the practice nationwide.
In its Tuesday motion for an en banc rehearing, UnitedHealth told the appeals court that the three-judge panel’s January decision clashed with earlier rulings from both the Eighth and Fifth Circuits.
