Ex-Credit Suisse Broker Cops To $1B ARS Fraud

Law360, New York (July 22, 2009, 3:35 PM EDT) -- A former Credit Suisse Group broker, who recently surrendered to authorities in Spain after more than a month on the lam, reportedly pled guilty Wednesday to an alleged $1 billion fraud involving auction rate securities.

Julian Tzolov, 36, pled guilty to three separate indictments — involving charges of charges of conspiracy, securities fraud, bail-jumping, visa fraud and multiple counts of wire fraud — before Judge Jack Weinstein of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, according to Dow Jones Newswires.
