PE-Backed Postmates Aims For IPO With Confidential Filing

Law360 (February 7, 2019, 6:33 PM EST) -- Private equity-backed Postmates Inc. is gearing up for an initial public offering, with the on-demand delivery service announcing the filing of a confidential registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.

San Francisco-based Postmates said it submitted the confidential S-1 statement, starting the company on a path toward going public. The company did not disclose the number of shares it intends to list or the price for its stock and gave no indication of when it would debut on the market, merely stating the IPO would commence "after the completion of the SEC review process."
