USOC Knew Of Nassar Claims Before Coverage, Insurer Says

Law360 (February 21, 2019, 4:02 PM EST) -- Arch Specialty Insurance has asked a Colorado state court to find it doesn't have to defend the U.S. Olympic Committee from suits alleging sexual abuse by former Olympic gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, saying the USOC knew it was at risk before it applied for the policy.

Arch argued the $8 million policy only covered sexual abuse claims that could not have been reasonably foreseen, but that USOC had already been named in one suit by an alleged Nassar victim months before it took out the policy in December 2017, a fact it did not include in the policy application....
