Tyson Clips Experts' Wings In Poultry Waste Case

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 4:36 PM EDT) -- The judge overseeing Oklahoma's multimillion-dollar lawsuit accusing Tyson Foods Inc. and other poultry processors of polluting the Illinois River with chicken waste has partially granted the companies' motion to quash the state's supplemental expert witness reports.

Judge Gregory K. Frizzell of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma said Friday he would not consider the supplemental reports insofar as they contained the declarations of the state's so-called consulting experts, who were not allowed to testify at trial.
