Doe Run Can’t Stay Hartford Indemnity Claims: Judge

Law360, New York (July 27, 2009, 5:28 PM EDT) -- A judge has denied lead producer Doe Run Resources Corp.’s bid to stay key counts of a declaratory lawsuit Hartford Accident & Indemnity Co. filed to determine whether it must indemnify Doe Run for several personal injury suits it is facing.

Judge Charles A. Shaw of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri ruled Friday that a stay of counts one, two and three of the four-count declaratory judgment complaint would not prejudice Doe Run.
