Lowe's, Hourly Workers Strike Deal In FLSA Action

Law360, New York (July 28, 2009, 12:29 PM EDT) -- Lowe's Home Centers Inc. has reached a settlement in a proposed collective action alleging the home improvement retailer failed to pay overtime to hourly workers in Texas.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said in an order Monday that the parties in the case had advised him that all claims had been settled, giving the parties 30 days to submit any closing papers, including a stipulation of dismissal or documents seeking court approval of a settlement....
