3rd Circ. Revives ERISA Cases Against Allstate

Law360, New York (July 30, 2009, 4:33 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has put Allstate Insurance Co. back on the hook in three drawn-out cases over alterations to the company's employee benefit plan and its decision to classify insurance agents as independent contractors instead of employees.
