Federal RICO Claims Tossed In Ga. Real Estate Fraud Suit

Law360 (March 20, 2019, 9:06 PM EDT) -- The sons of a real estate fraudster who allegedly helped cheat Chinese investors out of more than $20 million partially won their bid Wednesday to cut racketeering claims from a suit filed against them in Georgia federal court.

Emily Fu, who is currently serving an 87-month prison sentence for fraud, used her company Capital Investment International Inc. to bilk foreign investors, who thought they were buying commercial real estate properties, out of tens of millions of dollars. She pocketed more than $900,000 for her own personal use, court records show.
