Texas Employers Feel The Crunch As ICE Ramps Up Raids

Law360 (April 5, 2019, 9:02 PM EDT) -- As enforcement actions like the recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid at an electronics repair company in Allen, Texas, grow in size and frequency, employers in the state are struggling to find authorized workers in a historically low-unemployment environment.

On Wednesday, federal authorities raided CVE Technology Group in Allen, arresting 280 workers — the largest such raid in a decade. The previous record for that kind of enforcement action was set last August, when ICE raided Texas-based trailer manufacturer Load Trail and arrested 160 workers.
