Remington Asks Supreme Court To Take Up Sandy Hook Suit

Law360 (April 9, 2019, 11:28 PM EDT) -- Remington, the maker of the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle used in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review last month's ruling by Connecticut's highest court, which said victims' parents could sue the gunmaker over how it marketed the weapon.

Remington Arms Co. LLC and Remington Outdoor Co. Inc. filed a motion on Friday with the Constitution State's high court asking it to stay the case over the school shooting until the U.S. Supreme Court has a chance to look over the firearm companies' request for review.
