Watchdog Finds No Boeing Bias From Acting DOD Chief

Law360 (April 25, 2019, 6:29 PM EDT) -- A U.S Department of Defense watchdog fully absolved acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan of ethics violations on Thursday after an investigation into alleged bias toward his former employer Boeing, clearing the way for Shanahan to be nominated as the permanent DOD chief.

Despite multiple allegations of ethical breaches, an extensive investigation had shown that Shanahan had not acted as a “booster” for the Boeing Co. during his time at the DOD, the DOD Office of Inspector General said.
