$128M Of Award Chopped From Fox-'Bones' Profit Feud

Law360 (May 2, 2019, 11:21 PM EDT) -- A Los Angeles County court on Thursday granted 21st Century Fox Inc.'s request to cut $128 million from a $179 million arbitration award granted to key players behind the TV show "Bones" who had accused the studio of withholding chunks of the crime drama's profits.

The ruling by Judge Richard Rico only applies to the $128 million the arbitrator awarded in punitive damages. It leaves intact the award of $32.8 million in actual damages, plus another $17 million in costs and fees.
