Plywood Claims Tossed In Panel Price-Fixing Suit

Law360, New York (August 10, 2009, 8:50 PM EDT) -- A federal court in Mississippi has approved a bid by Georgia-Pacific Co. and other building products manufacturers to dismiss claims of a conspiracy to fix prices for plywood, leaving the plaintiffs a chance to amend their allegations.

In an order issued Monday, Judge Louis Guirola Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi granted the motion to dismiss filed by Georgia-Pacific, Weyerhaeuser Co. and Louisiana-Pacific Corp.
