GGP Asks Judge To Toss Ch. 11 Appeal

Law360, New York (August 11, 2009, 12:32 PM EDT) -- Bankrupt mall owner General Growth Properties Inc. has urged a district judge to reject A&K Endowment Inc.'s appeal of its debtor-in-possession financing, saying the bankruptcy court did not err in approving the deal.

In a brief filed Monday by GGP in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the mall owner said that A&K's appeal came 11 days after the debtors closed on the $400 million DIP loan.
