Iowa Opens Gates For Sports Gambling With Gov.'s Signature

Law360 (May 14, 2019, 4:40 PM EDT) -- Iowa has become the ninth state to legalize sports gambling since the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way last year, joining the growing number of states that have jumped on the betting bandwagon.

Gov. Kim Reynolds on Monday signed into law S.B. 617, which authorizes the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission to set the rules for sports gambling and fantasy sports within the state.
