GM Owners Open Faulty-Transmission Class Suit In Del.

Law360 (May 17, 2019, 6:56 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for General Motors vehicle owners with allegedly defective transmissions opened a proposed nationwide federal class damages suit in Delaware Friday, becoming at least the third prospective multistate class challenge to the automaker’s gearboxes.

The Delaware suit, led by Capstone Law APC and Berger Montague, brings GM’s home state of incorporation into litigation maneuvering prompted by reported safety and maintenance problems involving two eight-speed automatic transmission models installed in hundreds of thousands of popular model year 2015-2019 Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC vehicles.
