Plea Unsealed In $40 Million Medicare Fraud Case

Law360 (October 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After returning almost $34 million, a California nurse who owned what were the two biggest home health care agencies in California still faces up to 59 years in prison for allegedly bilking Medicare out of $40 million.

Lourdes “Lulu” Perez, 53, will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson on October 16.
