Lowe's Managers Seek Class Cert. In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (August 12, 2009, 6:14 PM EDT) -- A former Lowe's Home Centers Inc. employee has moved for class certification in a suit alleging the home improvement retailer misclassified loss prevention managers and failed to pay them overtime wages.

Jacob Tankersly, who worked as an LPM at a Lowe's in Ocala, Fla., proposed a class of all former and current LPMs employed by the company in Florida during the past three years in an unopposed motion filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
