US Fails To Quash Broadcom Execs' Subpoenas

Law360, New York (August 12, 2009, 7:11 PM EDT) -- The federal judge overseeing the criminal case against Broadcom Corp.'s Henry Nicholas and William Ruehle has denied the U.S. government's request for an order barring the two executives from serving third-party subpoenas in a parallel shareholder derivative case.

U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney of the Central District of California issued an order in chambers Aug. 11 directing the U.S. Attorney's Office to try to resolve its concerns but granting it leave to refile the request if talks fail.
