Cox Installers Drop Class Claims To Settle FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 6:32 PM EDT) -- Two employees of a telecom equipment provider that contracts with Cox Communications Inc. have agreed to settle their proposed Fair Labor Standards Act class action without proceeding to the class certification phase.

Magistrate Judge Joan G. Margolis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on Wednesday signed off on the settlement between the two cable installers and M&M Communications Inc.

The suit alleged violations of federal laws on overtime pay as well as violations of Connecticut's minimum wage law. Cox was named as...
