CPSC Takes Drywall Investigation To China

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 5:18 PM EDT) -- Representatives of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission are heading to China for an investigative visit related to allegedly tainted Chinese-made drywall that has been causing problems for homeowners throughout the U.S.

In an update Tuesday, the CPSC said it had asked to visit several sites in China that it believed to be of interest during its investigative visit, which is scheduled to start Monday.

The CPSC has now received a total of 810 reports related to the allegedly tainted drywall, it said.
