ITA Ups Duty On Chinese Co. Over Bedroom Furniture

Law360, New York (August 17, 2009, 2:49 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration has raised the anti-dumping duty on China-based Guangdong Yihua Timber Industry Co., finding that the company has been selling bedroom furniture in the U.S. at below normal values.

Yihua was ordered to pay a 29.98 percent tariff on its bedroom furniture for imports between Jan. 1, 2007, and Dec. 31, 2007, the administration said Friday in its final determination. A consortium of domestic furniture companies petitioned the agency to review the tariffs.
