Juice Drinkers Cry Foul On Welch Pomegranate Juice

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009, 7:19 PM EDT) -- Consumers have filed a proposed class action accusing Welch Foods Inc. of falsely advertising its White Grape Pomegranate juice, a concoction they claim contains very little to no actual pomegranate juice.

Filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California by state resident Maryam Burcham, the complaint says Welch deceptively and fraudulently packaged and advertised its pomegranate juice as containing pomegranate when in reality it is comprised of “cheap white grape and apple juice.”
