Formosa Adds New Insurance Defendant To $58M Suit

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009, 2:54 PM EDT) -- Formosa Plastics Corp. USA has targeted a ninth insurance company in an amended lawsuit seeking almost $58 million in insurance coverage over an April 2004 explosion and fire at an Illinois plant.

The amended complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, added the Commerce and Industry Insurance Co. as a defendant after the court approved the change Friday, ruling it would not prejudice the original defendants.
