Qualcomm Says FTC Wrong To Fight Stay Of Antitrust Ruling

Law360 (June 19, 2019, 6:55 PM EDT) -- Qualcomm hit back against the Federal Trade Commission on Tuesday as it again urged a California federal judge to stay her blockbuster antitrust decision against Qualcomm's high-tech chip licensing practices pending an appeal to the Ninth Circuit.

The May 21 ruling by U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh, which ordered Qualcomm to renegotiate the patent licensing deals that let customers buy its chips, would cause the tech giant irreparable harm, the company said Tuesday in replying to the FTC's opposition to its stay request.
