Managers Slap UPS With Putative OT Action

Law360, New York (August 19, 2009, 4:29 PM EDT) -- United Parcel Service Inc. has been targeted in a putative class and collective action that accuses the package delivery giant of deliberately misclassifying account managers as exempt from overtime pay requirements.

Named plaintiff Laura Meza filed her complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Meza has worked as a UPS account manager in Fullerton, Calif., for the past year and a half, though she is currently on medical leave, the complaint says.
