Feds Take Aim At SK Foods Ex-VP In Tomato Probe

Law360, New York (August 19, 2009, 6:56 PM EDT) -- A former vice president at vegetable grower and processor SK Foods LP has agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy for his role in an alleged kickback scheme involving sales of processed tomato products.

U.S. Attorney Lawrence G. Brown filed a one-count felony charge Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Jeffrey Sherman Beasley, 63, in connection with a federal investigation into a bribery conspiracy in the tomato industry.
