Microsoft In Talks With Belgian Press Over Copyrights

Law360, New York (October 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Unwilling to get involved in the type of legal scuffle from which fellow tech company Google Corp. just emerged, Microsoft’s Belgian MSN division has already started communicating with Belgian copyright group Copiepresse.

Copiepresse sent Microsoft Corp. a letter on Thursday, calling for it to stop reproducing articles and images from newspapers on the Belgian version of MSN News without its permission.
