Lilly To Pay $22.5M To Settle W.Va. Zyprexa Claims

Law360, New York (August 21, 2009, 6:17 PM EDT) -- Eli Lilly & Co. has agreed to pay $22.5 million to settle a lawsuit brought by the West Virginia Attorney General's Office over the drugmaker's promotion and marketing of the antipsychotic Zyprexa.

The settlement, just one of many involving Zyprexa, was approved in late July by Judge Jack B. Weinstein of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and unsealed Thursday.
