Microsoft Wins Speedy Review Of Word Appeal

Law360, New York (August 24, 2009, 6:22 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. has reportedly won expedited review of its appeal of a federal judge's decision in a patent infringement suit to ban the technology giant from selling certain versions of the popular word processing program Word beginning in October.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Friday set a Sept. 23 hearing date for the case, according to several news outlets.
