Fed Ordered To Cough Up Info On Bailout Loans

Law360, New York (August 25, 2009, 2:37 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has ordered the Federal Reserve to disclose records about its emergency lending program within five days, handing a win to news service Bloomberg LP, which sought the documents through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Judge Loretta A. Preska of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday granted Bloomberg summary judgment in a suit it filed after the Fed failed to respond to its FOIA requests.
