Calif. Pharmacies Sue Pfizer Over Wyeth Merger

Law360, New York (August 25, 2009, 5:33 PM EDT) -- A group of California pharmacies has lobbed an antitrust lawsuit at Pfizer Inc. over the pharmaceutical giant’s proposed $68 billion buyout of rival Wyeth Inc., alleging that Pfizer is partly financing the deal through U.S. government bailout money and that the deal will harm consumers.
