Kaiser, Project Managers Settle FLSA Suit For $1.4M

Law360, New York (August 26, 2009, 6:22 PM EDT) -- Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. has agreed to pay a group of project managers $1.4 million to settle a class action accusing the health care company of violating state and federal labor laws by denying the workers overtime wages and meal and rest periods.

The plaintiffs sought preliminary approval of the settlement Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California following one day of mediation.

A hearing for final approval of the proposed deal has been scheduled for Sept. 9.
