Judge Slices $6.9M Fee Request In NYPD OT Suit

Law360, New York (August 27, 2009, 5:43 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has cut nearly in half a $6.9 million request for attorneys' fees submitted by the firms that represented New York City police officers in an overtime suit against the city.

U.S. District Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of the Southern District of New York slashed the request by Robbins Russell Englert Orseck Untereiner & Sauber LLP, Aitchison & Vick Inc. and the Law Offices of Thomas P. Puccio for fees to about $3.7 million in an Aug. 25 order.
