Sour Patch Co. Asks Court To Help ID Pot Gummy Infringer

By Mike LaSusa (August 19, 2019, 9:53 PM EDT) -- The maker of Sour Patch candies has asked a California federal court to order Facebook and Google to disclose who's behind social media and email accounts tied to an "elusive infringer" selling cannabis-infused gummies under the name "Stoney Patch."

Mondelez Canada Inc. asked U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney Friday to force Facebook to hand over information related to Instagram accounts linked to the unknown entity behind Stoney Patch gummies, and to issue a similar order for Google to provide information about a Gmail address associated with those accounts.
