Sony Sued Over DVD Camcorders

Law360 (October 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- GEO Worldwide LLC has filed a lawsuit against Sony Corp., alleging Sony's DVD camcorders infringe its patents for data storage systems.

Illinois-based GEO Worldwide LLC filed the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging Sony violated three of its patents for data storage systems.

GEO charged Sony Corp. and its North American subsidiary, Sony Corporation of America, with willfully infringed its patents, entitled Interchangeable Cartridge Data Storage Systems for Devices Performing Diverse Functions.
