Yahoo Appeals $6.6M Verdict In Online Ad Case

Law360, New York (August 31, 2009, 3:49 PM EDT) -- Its series of post-trial motions seeking to negate a $6.6 million verdict having proved unsuccessful, Yahoo Inc. has appealed a patent case over online advertising to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

The company filed a notice Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, stating that it was appealing all orders and rulings that adversely affected Yahoo in the case, which was brought by Creative Internet Advertising Corp., a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corp.
