Cable Cos. Fight To Access Satellite Biz Docs In C-Band Probe

Law360 (September 12, 2019, 5:46 PM EDT) -- A group of regional cable operators is pushing for access to confidential documents that it says are key to reaching an agreement on a Federal Communications Commission effort to reorganize a valuable satellite spectrum band, urging the agency to reject assertions that it is just trying to gain information on competition.

The C-Band Alliance, which comprises three satellite organizations that control the 3.7-4.2 GHz band, is unnecessarily stonewalling industry group ACA Connects and preventing it from reviewing data central to the FCC’s proceeding, ACA Connects said Thursday.
